When trust is broken in a relationship, it doesn’t get healed by silence and distance. Healing requires the courage of re-engaging.  -Tyler Staton

THERAPY SERVICES

Marital Therapy - Joining intimately to one another can be a source of great joy, and also a source of discomfort and hurt.  Finding healing in your couple relationship can lead to healthier, more joyful, and fulfilling lives together.  Marital therapy presents the opportunity to bring you closer to your spouse and experience true connection.  A regular schedule of therapy is offered in weekly or bi-weekly increments, or if you are ready to take a significant step forward in a shorter amount of time, one, two, or three day intensives are available.

Family Therapy - Families bring a mix of dynamics that bring us both joy and difficulty.  Relationships in the family can become strained to such a degree that a sense of closeness and comfort are not found. Family therapy involves everyone in the family being heard and valued to create a stronger, healthier, closer bond.

Individual Therapy - As individuals, we desire to be able to fulfill our dreams and experience all that life has to offer.  Anxiety, depression, stress, anger, and loneliness keep us longing for healing and comfort. Working through individual issues can help provide a way to heal and move toward healthier places for ourselves and a greater sense of closeness our relationships.  Individual Emotionally Focused Therapy can help you get closer to yourself, accepting who you are, and moving forward to who you want to be.

Premarital Therapy - Before you say, "I do", take the time to do some premarital work to help your new marriage off to a great start.  Premarital Therapy provides an opportunity to look at your similarities and differences and a place to dig into some important topics. I am certified in both the Prepare/Enrich and SYMBIS pre-marital assessments.

Parent Coaching -  Parenting can be the most rewarding and yet the most hopeless job that we encounter.  At times, we are not sure what to do or how to proceed with helping our kids navigate life in a way that sets them up for success and leaves them a positive legacy of parenting.  Sometimes it seems like all we do is fail at parenting.  There's always hope in moving toward being the parent we want to be and becoming more connected with our kids.  I provide attachment-based parent coaching to help you understand the ways kids bond with us and why they do what they do.  We can work together to develop a plan so that your kids can experience you in new ways and respond accordingly.

Attachment Group - The science of human attachment is the foundation of Emotionally Focused Therapy. Understanding your own attachment style and the attachment style of those you are in relationship with can provide opportunities for individual and relational growth.  This six-week, five-person group provides a group experience for processing and support as you work through "The Attachment Workbook" by Annie Chen, LMFT.  Click HERE to learn more about the Attachment Group.

Men's Process Group - Being open with life's difficulties as a man can be seen as weak, or if they do dare to share, the message from other men might be to "just toughen up".   Because of these responses men do not always have the opportunity to share their struggles with other men to receive encouragement and support.  A men's process group can provide this safe space to be open, receive support and fully live.  Click HERE to learn more about the Men's Process Group.
